Bremskraftverstärker P7

    I compared brake booster (Bremskraftverstärker) from my P7 with the b.b. Mercedes W601 (MB 207D, same in W115?).
    They proved to be very similar. I would want to purchase new b.b., but thus far found only "replica's (oldcars.de)”.
    In my view, the replica's even is worse than new amplifier for Mercedes.
    Who dealt with this problem, prompt, as you solved it.
    Brake system P7 have same parts with from MB, BMW, Talbot of the same time period.
    One different between P7 b.b. & MB W601: b.b. from MB too thicker than P7 b.b.
    Also I see some similar b.b. on old BMW's.


    Main brake cylinder, rear wheel cylinders and metal tubes same on a BMW's.
    Front brake calipers same on a Talbot.
    Rear brake pads same as rear brake pads on a MB W123. Also rubber tubes same on MB's.
    Brake booster fastening flanges same on MB W601 (& may be W115).


    May be you think identical b.b. to P7 from another car?
    Please, help me with my problem with brake booster. I can't drive car w/o brakes booster :D

    so the brake Booster from the P7 is a 8-inch T51 by ATE
    ATE Number is 3.6140-0900.4


    The Brake Booster was build in different cars from BMW, Mercedes, Opel and so on, you know.
    The Number is also 3.6140-.... only then the feet is different and maybe need to change.


    I also heard something, that somebody changed to the Capri HEM-BB, but no guarantee



    Edit: If i see an Russian man in a P7 pumping with the feet like a horny rabbit if he is coming to a traffic light, I will know, who you are :D :D

  • Thanks for answer! But I see 3.6140-0900.4 is an internal ATE number, and it's have different number in spare's market depends on car builder numbers.
    I have no problems with finding MB or BMW spares for oldtimers but some troubles with Ford Werke (Ford can't like own history cars I think).
    If I knew reliably that the part was identical Ford P7, I could find its number and request new.
    I see MB, BMW, Porsche b.b. -> Parameter: T52, Ø: 9 Inch, Operating Mode: Pneumatic, Brake System: ATE: 03.7750-5702.4
    Nothing have T51. What is "T51", "T52" - what this mean?

    Edit: You will not wait for russian who the brake pumping! I think grader on front bumper more better solution. :D 8)
    You know that we Russians are very inventive. Especially if it is necessary to place rules from the feet to the head. ;)

    Obwohl ich das Original bevorzuge.
    ATE T51 8" ist ursprünglich. Ich denke, dass dieses selben maximal ist.
